Wrestling is clearly distinguishable from the known Greco – Roman wrestling, in which the legs are not a weapon of attack or defence. By contrast, opponents of a pro wrestling contest may employ the lower limbs for combat. Also, not to be confused with this Olympic discipline the activity known as “American wrestling” or “professional wrestling”, consisting of another variant not included among the Olympic sports.
